About Us
We began in 2005 as a small community site dedicated to the promotion of local events. San Diego California Events has grown to be the #1 event site in San Diego with hundreds of local and national groups posting events each year. Event posting is automated which means you can quickly and easily post your events. We are now also accepting previous event videos. Posting your events and videos is totally free. All of us at San Diego California Events would like to thank you for your continuing support.

Event Posting Rules
  • Post only San Diego County area, Temecula, and TJ events.
  • Post each unique event only on the date(s) of the event.
  • Remember to include the time(s) of your event.
  • If you'd like to have the option of deleting your event later, please provide a password, Highly Recommended.
  • To make changes to your event you must delete your original post and repost with the new information. The good news is your post then goes to the top of the list for that date.
  • Unrelated posts and spam will be deleted.
Event Posting Tips
  • Post Early: You should try to post your events as early as possible. This gives site visitors the chance to find your events a lot sooner and then they can make plans to attend. San Diego is the event capital of America. With so many event choices, you need to plan early. Posting your events early also gives you better placement in the search sites like Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
  • When posting an event, in the Event Location window, use the name of your venue (45 character maximum) as opposed to the actual street address. This will allow visitors to find your events on other pages more easily. Be sure to include your street address in the text.
  • Listing your Email address is optional, but recommended if you want people to contact you for additional information.
  • Event Title (45 character maximum) should be a catchy phrase to entice visitors to click and learn more about your event.
  • Event Description should be as detailed as possible. Use paragraphs for long descriptions. Remember to include the time(s) of your event.
  • The Optional Link URL is um, optional, but recommended. You want people to visit your site, don't you?
  • The Optional Link Title (45 character maximum) of course, goes along with the Optional Link URL. This can be the Event Location, Event Title, some catchy phrase, or basically anything you want.
  • The Optional Image URL - Enter the URL of the picture you want to include. The picture should be 460 pixels wide or less in order to fit in the view area and avoid the horizontal scroll bar. You can also add a picture within the text of your post using the following information.
  • Finding Your Picture URL - Your picture must be online somewhere. Right Click on the picture. Click Properties and copy the Address: (URL) and then paste this into the YOUR IMAGE URL in any of the lines below.
  • Centered Picture - <center><img src="YOUR IMAGE URL"></center>
  • Non Centered Picture - <img src="YOUR IMAGE URL">
  • Centered Picture With Link - <center><A href="YOUR SITE URL"><img src="YOUR IMAGE URL"></A></center>
  • Non Centered Picture With Link - <A href="YOUR SITE URL"><img src="YOUR IMAGE URL"></A>
  • Entering a Password is optional but Highly Recommended as this will allow you to delete your event if there is a cancellation, or if you would like to delete an event with old information, and repost a new modified event. This will also put your event on the top of the list for that date. You should save your password. This information will be stored and automatically entered each time you post an event. Useful feature for frequent posters like clubs, or those posting ongoing shows or exhibits spread out over many days, weeks, or months.
  • Posting an ongoing show: You should post an ongoing show at least on the opening and closing dates. You are welcome to post the show on each running date, if you so desire.
  • Posting an ongoing exhibit: As with ongoing shows, you should post your exhibit at least on the opening and closing dates. Again, you are welcome to post the exhibit on each running date.
  • When in doubt, try checking other posted events and see what works for them.
